Have you ever noticed how easy it is to take stock of what isn’t working in your life, or what you don’t have, and why things aren't going right?
I found myself in a vicious cycle,
feeling unsupported, unseen and unheard, feeling that despite my hardest efforts and my best intentions, the Universe was refusing to meet me half way.
I sank so deep into my own hole of self loathing and deprecation, I became obsessed with finding evidence to back up my beliefs that nothing was working out for me and that I wasn't supported by anyone. And of course, the evidence kept piling up, as this was my dominant belief and my point of focus.
With my focus on what I believed was failing or lacking, I became blinded to all of the things that were working for me, the many ways that the Universe was showing up for me daily!
Once I became conscious of this self defeating cycle, I sought a way to clear my vision and reopen my heart to the magic and abundance that is always available to me.
In gratitude journaling, you record the day to day experiences that bring you a sense of gratitude, experiences that invoke joy, love, receptivity, peace, pleasure, and/or abundance.
Your gratitude journal can be broad, a space to record any and all experiences that you feel called to. Or, your journal can be more specific.
What in your life do you feel is missing?
What are you dissatisfied with? In what areas of your life do you feel lack?
Your gratitude journal can be used to keep track of every experience that challenges, or diminishes your beliefs and illusions of lack in those specific areas.
For me, gratitude journaling is my way to remain in a state of receptivity. When I acknowledge and celebrate the abundance in my life, and I welcome that abundance with gratitude, I invite the Universe to send me more of those experiences.
“Thank you” is a powerful incantation.
With gratitude journaling, you can intentionally use the energy of gratitude to create more abundance in your life!
